Looking for any cyber threats is the number one job of a security analyst. This is a job that aligns well with working from home. Realistically, you can monitor a system from anywhere in the world. All it takes is a reliable internet connection, a computer, and can establish a secure connection to the company’s server. 

Work From Home IT Project Manager

As an IT project manager, it’s your job to supervise wide-ranging technological projects. You are the person controlling a company’s tech operations and security policies. More often than not, we see project managers leading a team of talented cybersecurity professionals that work remotely, which means as the leader, you can work from home as well. 

Work From Home Security Engineer

If you enjoy coding, a security engineer may be the perfect work from home cyber security job for you.  It requires you to work almost exclusively in front of computer. Security engineers are spending a good bit of their time creating and editing code. Many companies understand this and make allowances for their security engineers to work remotely. 

Career Outlook for Cyber Security Jobs

Cyber Defense Magazine states that by 2022 over 1.8 million cyber security specialists will be needed. With a starting salary of three times the national average, a career in cyber security may be just what you’re seeking. Certifications in the cyber security industry increase this salary. 

What can you do today to ensure a brighter career tomorrow? A few certifications that could give you a jumpstart include Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH), CompTIA Security+, Certified Information System Security Professional (CISSP), and NIST Cybersecurity Framework (NCSF). 

If you’re considering getting a work from home cyber security job, now is the time to do it!
