Video game genres are varied from action and role playing to kiddie and strategy. A sub-genre of action video games is the shooter genre of games, whose popularity soared due to titles like Doom and Counter Strike. Scroll below for a look at shoot em’ up titles which are compatible with the PS3 Move controller.
No game genre tests a player’s reaction time and alertness like a shooting game. Having a quick trigger finger does not guarantee success, you must know how and when to shoot and how to manage your resources and environment. While playing, your controller should support your shooting skills, not hamper them. That being said, a responsive controller is the PS3 Move. Instead of a traditional controller, which requires 2 hands to hold and buttons at your thumbs, the Move translates your movements on screen, on just moving the controller, promising a more realistic and active gaming style. Read on for the shooting games for the PS3 Move, to keep your itchy trigger finger happy!

Upcoming PS3 Move Shooting Games
Resistance 3 is the fourth game in the Resistance shooter series and is expected in September 2011. Improved gameplay, a new storyline and added weaponry are amongst its features. What you should be waiting for is BioShock Infinite from Irrational Games. The BioShock series is known for its amazing combination of intense and riveting story or background, as well as fast, violent and off-the edge gameplay.
This upcoming title takes place in the fictional city of Columbia and you, a tired and beaten detective, must rescue a damsel from a wicked guardian. It’s not so one-dimensional, the plot is so full of twists and turns, it should have been a movie. And the chief antagonist, the Songbird, is a thrilling and impressive foe, not your average robot. Plus you fight on Earth, in the sky and in a very, very fast and volatile environment. The only downside is the release date, mid-2012.
There may be few shooting games but one good thing is the difference in gameplay and style. Variety is the spice of life and the same applies for video games. Shoot em’ up titles are so engrossing and intense, you’ll find yourself viewing life through a cross hair or scoping out locales. With the PS3 Move in your gaming hand, shooting at stuff just got better.
